Policy
Our intention is to develop policy and legislative priorities centering reparations for African Americans that can be implemented as part of the San Francisco City Charter. Implementation of Reparations Legislation would include identifying specific policies to change or amend to mandate reparations through city ordinance and the city charter.
Research previous and current city tax codes to help craft a Reparations Tax; implement past recommendations of reports, and studies by rewriting the language as official reparations legislation policies. Review of systemic disparities within the legal, medical, housing, educational, and criminal systems, as well as any Institutional systems that have legally hindered Black people establish generational wealth.
